Ramira Mari is a London-based artist trained at the King's School of Traditional Arts and Royal Drawing School in London. She has further developed her artistic practice learning from masters across Armenia, Morocco, Egypt and India.
Her artwork combines strong influences from Islamic art and traditional miniature traditions drawn from her extensive travels in the Middle East and her life in London's East End. Her paintings maintain the traditionality functional aspect of Islamic art, as painted patterns and scenes are vehicles of wisdom and reflections on society, faith and life.
