"Kaleidoscopic Bloom" is inspired by a pattern found on a 14th century door in Old Cairo. The geometric tassels are filled with biomorphic motifs, as in the tradition of minbars one can observe in Old Cairo's mosques where wooden tassels are inlaid with ebony and camel bone in floral shapes. The resulting kaleidoscopic effect wants to remind the viewer of how the divine order of the world we live in is also beautifully multifaceted and we are limited in our ability to clearly see the full plan, only God can. The richness of decoration and colours of the painting in fact allow the viewer to only careful observe a few tassels at the same time.
